How to Properly Press Our DTF Transfers

DTF transfer HOT PEEL FILM pressing instructions:

Heat press temperature should be set to 325 F.

Prior to heat pressing, hover the heat press over the transfer INK SIDE UP as close as you can without touching the transfer and allow the transfer to warm up for 30-60 seconds and this process will remove moisture from the transfer. This moisture in the ink builds up during the mailing process.

After the transfer is warmed up, it is ready for step 2.

Use Medium to heavy Pressure to press the moisture out of your shirt and then, press the transfer on the shirt for 15 seconds, wait for 10 seconds and peel hot.

There is no need to use a cover sheet.after you’ve peeled the transfer, press again for 5-10 seconds without a cover sheet!

If printing small print or small text, Press for 20 seconds using heavy pressure and let the transfer cool a bit before peeling. If for any reason that the print begins to lift off the shirt, usually due to an inexpensive heat press Don’t freak out, STOP PEELING AND PRESS IT AGAIN. Most likely your heat press has uneven pressure and heat.

When using an instapress 256 or an Insta cap press, there’s no reason to take these additional steps,

FYI, My testing has been performed with an INSTA 256 heat press.
You will need to test your settings by applying the transfer and washing. You’ll eventually get the right settings after you experiment. As always, using ‘cheapo’ Amazon clamshell or cheapo Heat Press Nation Clam shell heat presses, be aware that these presses are always problematic. However, when you figure out the settings, it is GAME ON!

Thank you for your order, we appreciate your business.

Please remember if a few days have gone by and you haven’t received your tracking number, be assured there is a problem with your order. Email info@LiveEventPrinting.com for the status of your order which is most likely an incorrect image size.

An example is when you order an A3 image size but your image uploaded is 1 inch by 1 inch. Usually we print exactly what we receive but small images per the sheet size ordered just stays pending.

Image Ensurance is available to add to your order and our staff will adjust your image for superior print quality. This is very helpful and this can be used to enhance photos for our photo production printing. This is a fee of only $15. If you'd like to download the enhanced image select the "Standard + Downloadable" option in the drop-down. In my opinion as a printer, this is absolutely worth the fee.
